I’m 25 going on 50, a workaholic, I’ve been on a diet all my life and I just now finally feel like I have a handle on this thing called life. Why am I making a blog you ask? Well my handwriting is really shitty and I can type pretty dang fast.
Really I just love to write and I haven’t done any free writing in a long time. I’m in this weird awkward phase in life, where I’m officially too old to ever go to another prom (I drive by my old high school to get to my parents and yes it makes me sad), my kids have four legs, I consider a big mac a staple part of my diet still, but I pay my bills on time, a freshly mowed lawn excites me and I drink with a ‘quality over quantity attitude.’
I’m emotional, sometimes dramatic and I have a blunt sense of humor that some people get easily offended by. This is my outlet to share my awkwardness, stresses and accomplishments (okay and failures)…because let’s just be honest a man is only so good at listening and understanding ‘woman things.’ I’m figuring this stuff out one day at a time. I struggle with obsessive compulsive disorder everyday, I worry about leaving the oven on everyday for work and I have to set boundaries with myself about getting onto WebMD.com (because it literally says I’m suffering from about 397 diseases/disorders/ailments/imperfections).
I’m just givin’ life the good ol’ college try, crossing my fingers and hoping I get it right.
